## About This site details my experience growing Nepenthes over 20 years. It's basically a published copy of my personal notes regarding Nepenthes cultivation, and contains - catalogs of plants I've grown, with cultivation notes & plenty of photos - thoughts & experiences with growing media - links to other Nepenthes sites - lists of sellers / sources This site is powered by [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) and is organized loosely around the idea of [Zettelkasten](https://obsidian.rocks/getting-started-with-zettelkasten-in-obsidian/) (more info on [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zettelkasten)). If a page link (not an image link) appears broken, it either doesn't exist yet or is just not available for the public. Content is added periodically. **Why Obsidian?** Obsidian-based sites are basically collections of text files in markdown format that link to each other and objects on the web. These are extremely easy to create & update, and are quite portable. This site is relentlessly basic by esign. I can't realistically maintain anything more complicated. I am not a photographer. Many photos were taken before I had a smartphone. This will become apparent. Managing your expectations is recommended. Hopefully these notes are of some use to other growers.
