Nepenthes (spathulata x bongso) x Song of Melancholy. Pollination occured in 2014. [Flickr photo album](https://www.flickr.com/photos/60359429@N08/albums/72157659377414943/) Judging by the persistome, I think the Song of Melancholy used was my flared-peristime clone. ## Plant 1 Sold 3 ft. of unrooted cuttings for $65 on Facebook Marketplace in 2021, seven years after creation. Buyer: Seth Danger Weisbrook. Pitchers resemble spathulata, just stouter, and the peristome doesn't roll back as much. Peristome darkens up to a deep red on the lowers, but this clone did not retain the dark color of the Melvino parent . Easy bloomer, female. I eventually lost the plant after moving to Michigan. The photos below show the 7 year-old plant. Grown [[Nepenthes in hydroponics 1|hydroponically]], if I recall. I wish I could remember which cross the seed pod resulted from, or what happened to the seeds. ![[N_Melvino_x_SoM_photo2.jpg|300]] ![[N_Melvino_x_SoM_photo3.jpg|300]] ![[N_Melvino_x_SoM_photo4.jpg|300]] ![[N_Melvino_x_SoM_photo1.jpg|500]] --- [[My hybrids]] | [[Nepenthes I've grown]] | [[Nepenthes]]
